Fresh turmeric, ginger and collagen shots

Gut health comes first in my house! I can’t stress enough how important it is to maintain a healthy gut balance. This amazing little shot contains tons of gut healing properties.

I love experimenting in the kitchen and this happened to have been a throw it all together and see what happens recipe! I love it.

Turmeric contains a compound called curcumin which boasts amazing antioxidant and anti- inflammatory effects.

Ginger is a natural anti- inflammatory and antioxidant that’s known to aid digestion and relieve nausea.

Orange and lemon are naturally detoxifying and helps to alkalize the body, which aids in healthy bowel movements and boast vitamin C, which in turn boosts our immune system.

Collagen has all the benefits you know and love from collagen, plus additional functions such as supporting firm, youthful skin, increasing the metabolism and improves gut health.

Raw honey is a good source of antioxidants, antibacterial and has many anti-fungal properties, plus it helps to heal digestive issues.

Black Pepper helps to boost the absorption of turmeric, by up to 2000%!

Fresh turmeric, ginger and collagen shots

Citrusy, Anti- inflammatory, Vitamin C rich, Immune Boosting & Gut Healing

Serves 2

Ingredients

1 fresh orange, juiced

1 fresh lemon, juiced

1 small knob of fresh ginger, peeled and grated

1 small knob fresh turmeric, peeled and grated

2 Tbsp Raw honey

1 Tbsp Collagen (Reliable good source) – *Optional

1/8 tsp fresh black pepper

Water

Instructions

Juice the turmeric and ginger in a juicer. Squeeze the fresh orange and lemon into a bowl, add in some water. Mix the turmeric and ginger juice with the citrus mix into a blender, add in the honey, collagen and black pepper. Blend for a few seconds on high.

Divide between two serving glasses. Enjoy!

Note- If you have any leftover, you can easily pop them into an ice cube tray and add to future smoothies or juices.
