Stuffed Figs

It’s the month of love. So why not enjoy a few sexy foods in the process! I like to call these foods aphrodisiac foods. Figs happens to be one of them.

Figs are rich in amino acids, and are also said to be an aphrodisiac because of the sexual appearance and flavor. “A fig’s scent and texture is very aromatic and sensual. It even looks sexual eating them.

I enjoyed this recipe with my hubby on Valentine’s day and they were so good I had to share the recipe with you! We enjoyed this dreamy recipe as a starter before our main course.

Stuffed figs

Serves 2

Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free, Aphrodisiac Food

4 medium sized figs

50g Camembert cheese or Vegan cheese (if dairy intolerant)

40g pecan nuts (slightly toasted)

3 Tbsp raw organic honey

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet.

Wash the figs and dry with a clean cloth. Cut open the top part and make a X incision to make space for the small piece of cheese. Add the cheese into the top part of the fig.

In a small bowl, add the honey and the cinnamon. Mix the mixture together until well combined. Drizzle the mixture over the figs.

Add the stuffed figs into the baking sheet. Bake for 5-8 minutes. Just to allow the cheese to melt a bit. Place the figs into a serving dish and sprinkle over the toasted pecan nuts. Enjoy!
